Attempt at Writing a Book

28 Dec

So I’ve decided I want to write a book.

That sounds dumb. And false. So okay, I decided when I was like 10 years old that I wanted to write a book. I always knew I was different and my unique/quirky/creative/neurotic outlook on life was worthy of being explored by others. Maybe others are like me and maybe others can learn from me. Maybe I’m not that special. I suppose I’ll find out.

Through this little blogging journey, I’ve rekindled my love affair with the written word. So I’m going to try it again. I bought a new moleskine journal, and I’m ready to go. I have no idea how long it will take me, or what the end product will look like, but I know it will be a magical adventure.

Scott Berkun posted a really good honest little item about writing a book and what it’s all about. No shortcuts, no tricks. It seems that there’s no magic or mystique. It’s just writing. And it takes work. Thanks for your help, Scott Berkun!
